Distributing: bundling the software into a comprehensive executable jar-file.
Orthographic projections: creating and using orthographic projections (i.e.: 2D cameras) using glOrtho.
Missing tutorials
I have not created text versions of all of the video tutorials. In fact, the video tutorials cover over double the content of the text tutorials. I will work on creating text versions of the remaining video tutorials when I have time for it.

i learned java. i started learning lwjgl with the with the aim to game development. i fell in love with lwjgl. Now i come to know that game engine( unity3d, udk etc) is required to develop games. A game engine abstracts out all of the OpenGL, low-level logic. It does 100% of the rendering for you (except for shaders). And developing a game engine is not one persons work. So why did/should i learn lwjgl?
For smaller, more customized, games it makes much more sense to use a low-level library like LWJGL. Also, using LWJGL greatly alleviates you of licensing issues. Lastly, for me most of the fun is in the low-level OpenGL code, but that is a personal thing of course.

Might I suggest not going higher then Core 3.1 for OpenGL. Reason being is because the highest OpenGL a MAC can do is 3.2. Although I personally do not use a MAC, but looking at all this from a tutorial’s perspective, you can grab a larger audience by sticking with what everyone is able to use. otherwise, you will get a lot of people complaining how things do not work and that in itself can get overwhelming.

Java with LWJGL with the ability to run your games on android and other devices, yea this is the way to go. Keep up the good work on your tutorials. They are some of the best I have seen.

These videos are awesome. It would be cool at some point if you could show from the beginning alot of the basics using only the OpenGL 3.2 core profile rather than the old deprecated stuff.
Thanks. I have been looking into the core profile and have decided they are not worth the extra effort. It’s much more likely I will switch to Windows and use the 3.3 features in compatibility mode.
A pity. It adds a lot of speed, power and flexibility to what you can do. But you don’t get to use all the magic functions for your matrices.
